Rain cover

Are there any opinions on pack rain covers out there? As far which one to go with?

I just go with whatever one is made by the company my pack is made by, I keep a kifaru cover in a pocket of my fulcrum the. A stone glacier cover in my other pack.

Im using a badlands 2800 rain fly on my MR sawtooth. Dang thing fits the Sawtooth better than it fit the Badlands. Butnif I didnt have one I would probably order on from whoever I got the pack from.

Gotcha. I also have a fulcrum and was figuring on Kifaru. Any durability issues? And thanks for the input!

I have the cabelas one. Just because that's what I got before I got a nice pack, I think I've only used it twice but it works well.

I havent seen the Kifaru one but everything else they make is bombproof so I'm sure it would work well. Great choice on the Fulcrum! That thing rocks

Thanks! To say I did months of review reading is probably an understatement. I really like the versatility of it...day pack to bottomless pit!

I do like how easy it cinches down to a daypack, I like to cinch the main pack down, stick all my day gear in one of the wings, tuck the other empty wing under that once then cinch it all down, makes a nice compact package that can haul a whole dead hooker whe...I mean if I need it

Yes very hard to pull the trigger but once I put my hands on it I knew it was a good call, even if it costs half a kidney... Lol it certainly has the space to haul whatever type of load you got

I use a Kuiu pack cover on my Kifaru pack. Never had any issues. I just like the fact that the Kuiu has an opening for my rifle to stick out of. Sure, thats a leak point, but I've never had any issues with it getting my pack soaked through or anything, and I was living/ hunting WA state for the last 4 years.

Thanks for the input! If your pack hasn’t gotten soaked I’d venture to say that rifle hole is a a great feature

Yeah, I like it. I use a Solo Hunter rifle cover, and I cinch the opening up pretty tight against the rifle, and it's worked out real well for me.

There are a couple that are out there that are great sitka makes one that is nice but stone glacier also makes one as well that I like a little more than the sitka one just cause of how light weight it is and how small it compacts to.

One of the things I really like about my Seek Outside pack is the waterproof fabric they make the bag out of. No need for a pack cover.
