I would like to preface this by saying I definitely do not qualify as a “Rage fanboy.” I have been a NAP killzone and Rage Hypodermic broadhead user. Love the killzones because there is no rubber band, or plastic shock collar like the rages have, and love the rages because they are shorter and more compact.

I saw the Rage Hypodermic NCs and had to give them a try. Seem like the best of both worlds: compact design of the rage hypodermic without the shock collar/rubber band system rage typically has. It seems like these rages take a little less energy to open than the NAP killzones, just by playing with than (less lost energy to open potentially?). This is completely unscientific and should be taken with a grain of salt.

My favorite thing about them is the blade angle is much less steep than the Rage Hypodermic.

I definitely am going to line my quiver with these for turkeys and deer this year.

I'm curious how they hold up compared to the Trypans, i saw they went back to a thinner blade like the hypos with the NC where the Trypan has a thicker blade. I will be using Trypans this year for deer and elk, if these end up with as good of a track record as the Trypans have i will probably phase out the Trypans with them.

NockonTV has a short video testing this broadhead. It made me curious enough to give them a try, will order for the upcoming season. Hope this helps.

I tested alot of mechanicals before this past season and the rage hypo nc is as good as it gets in my opinion. I shot one single head into a block target trying to wear it out. Took me 115 shots and several of those ended up passing through the target and burying in the ground. Only after all that a blade broke. Ended up killing my antelope at 94 yds with one and almost had a complete pass through at that distance. Excellent broadhead no doubt!

Might have to give these a try as well. I shot rage 2 blade heads for about ten years and switched to magnus buzzcuts last season because I have been concerned about how the rages would perform shoulder hits. After around 18 deer shot with rage two blades since 2006 I never hit a shoulder. Anyone hit shoulder with one of these heads? That's my only holdup and I'd love to hear how they did on that type of hit!
