I own some 50+ pcs of Sitka and prefer it over Kuiu. Sitka offers more utility while Kuiu offers a bit lighter weight. If I were heading to the high mountains above the treeline chasing goats then the Kuiu would be my choice but for general hunting of all types, the pockets and cuts of the SG suit me fine.

50?!?!? Holy shit Bruce. You've got an entire closet dedicated to it?

No, they're in ScentAway bags. LOL BTW...I'm not a fanboy and have no brand loyalty, i select what I like and managed to collect half my gear off classified ads including this site. Pattern doesn't matter to me as much as comfort and performance so I was astounded to have deer stare at me in the open for 5 minutes from 15 feet. I have the solid colors too for non-hunting applications because the stuff is comfortable. I prefer the Timberline pants but also have the mountain and 90% pants as well.

The 90 percent Sitka jacket has yet to be beaten..

This. My 90% jacket is amazing. I got it when it came out. 6 years ago? Can't remember. It doesn't have a single tear or snag. My Kuiu stuff does. But to be fair most of my kuiu are pants and they do see my snaggy stuff. But my attack pants did NOT like the AZ desert at all. One more outing might kill them.

I've sold all my sitka gear except one pair of mtn ascent pants and replaced it all with kuiu. Way better fabrics and adaptability IMO than sitka ever thought of having. More attractive pricing and I find kuiu more durable than sitka. (Others seem to disagree) but in an apples to Apples comparison kuiu wins in my experience. As others have said as well it's a ford vs Chevy or 1911 vs glock type debate and comes down to personal prefrence.

I've also owned both and sold all my sitka for kuiu, don't regret it one bit. My Sitka gear was nice, but I prefer the cut, fit, fabrics and price of kuiu.

Ha, no worries, I've got my fare share of gear as well.

KUIU' s biggest advantage is price, but you can find and get Sitka with good discounts. I haven't seen any discounts for KUIU yet. Both quality gear but I feel Sitka has a better selection. I used it on an elk hunt and use it for whitetail too an it's great gear.

If you can try it on and get a good discount I'd definitely go that route.
