Sounds familiar. Compared to the white box ZP5 I have this new red box one is a different animal. Something is wonky on the parallax vs the white box one. Unfortunately I pulled my older one out of the rings it was in so I’m gonna have to remount it in a spare set so I can get them side by side and really figure it out. It doesn’t sound as bad as some guys are experiencing but I swear I hardly had to touch the parallax on my white box model and the eyebox isn’t the same either.I got one of the THLR ZP5s as well, and there is definitely something wrong with it. I have used a 5-25 ZP5 MR4 reticle for a long time, and it is a phenomenal optic with incredible DOF and ease of getting behind. I was not very pleased when my new THLR exhibited exactly what has been described above. As a long time user of the 5-25 ZP5, I can say definitively that this is not normal for this scope and something is definitely wrong. I haven't reached out to Euro Optic yet but will definitely be doing so.

We’ll be going off the date of delivery to youThanks for jumping on this - I'm sure it would make all of us feel a lot better if we could rely on you to take point on all of this, given the power-position you'd be in as EuroOptic, compared to any single one of us.
Separate but related: In signing up for the "Comfort Service" warranty, it says you need to sign up within 30 days of purchase, yet it took almost 60 days for us to get the scopes in-hand, with S/Ns, etc. I think you mentioned this elsewhere, but to keep it all in this thread - what do we need to do regarding date of purchase or whatever, to get into the warranty program?
I have one of the mr's with the same issue.Agreed, I've owned multiple ZP5s without any problems. Is anyone having problems with non-THLR reticle scopes?
Anyone else have a white-box ZP5 they'd be willing to compare with some of these red-box ones?
Thankfully, both of mine seem fine, but they also both do seem to need to have the parallax adjusted quite a bit - definitely not "I hardly had to touch the parallax".
@rbutcher1234 or anyone with a white box scope and a red box scope that's wonky...Are there any obvious assembly or manufacturing variations between the defective one and the functional one?
It's going to go to crap above 10x if you have the bug.I'll try to shoot Monday or Tuesday and pay close attention to see if mine actually has an issue.
Checked my card finally, 2022.
Turns out both of mine are wonky, one was just more immediately obvious to notice. So I can’t help there.@rbutcher1234 or anyone with a white box scope and a red box scope that's wonky...
Between your good one and your bad one can you make an observation on what might be the culprit?
For instance, on the nonfunctional scope, if the parallax assembly was released and rotated 180 degrees and recaptured and spun back to 50 would it work?
Or is it totally wonky like it's a bad part or installed upside down and backwards etc.?
Damn. Kick a guy while he's down.Turns out both of mine are wonky, one was just more immediately obvious to notice. So I can’t help there.
Every time I set the diopter for a perfectly clear reticle, the scope was a blur regardless what power I set it at, or how the parallax was adjusted. Then when I set the diopter so the scope was clear, the reticle was a blur. It's going to go to crap above 10x if you have the bug.
Y'all should be able to tell just by taking it out of box and taking a peek out a window.
I think mine must be fine thenIt's going to go to crap above 10x if you have the bug.

Sounds still wonky, just not as bad. Apparently, you should be able to set decently far on the dial and be good at basically every distance.Mine seems okay. I do have to adjust parallex to clear up the image when going from near to far, not a "set it and leave it". QC card says 7/23.
Is that while the Magnification stays the same?Mine seems okay. I do have to adjust parallex to clear up the image when going from near to far, not a "set it and leave it". QC card says 7/23.
On mine, one of the issues is that adjusting the parallax knob has the opposite effect it should have based on the labeling of the dial. Bigger issue is the non functioning focus and DOF situation, but just throwing this out there as well.I went outside and played with my scope a little more. I think it's fine. At no point is it what I would consider blurry, but I can improve the image quality by adjusting the parallax.

Mounted both the white box and red box and spent some time with them today. I’m not having the issues that some guys are but there is a difference on DOF between the two. I wouldn’t say the red box is bad, it just isn’t near as good as the white box.
I have a couple different places where I can look at objects at different distances in the same field of view and it’s pretty noticeable. The parallax knob does work in the correct direction as labeled though.
One odd thing on the red box is it came out of the box with the little cylinder that prevents the turret from going to the second rev in the “wrong” position. Simple fix but odd none the less.
Side by side they are identical as far as I can tell, the only difference is the red box doesn’t have the sticker on the underside that the white box does? View attachment 1010646
