Q&A for Minox ZP5 5-25x56mm THLR scope

I emailed Blaser. My experience and feeling about the reticle is if they can fix it to function correctly, this is still the best killing scope I’ve ever seen.
Thanks for checking.

It seems like the repair shop is about to get swamped if they even have the capacity to fix these.

It was 4-5 months turnaround for the guy in this thread that that reported he had the same issue in the past. That's a kick in the pants.

Do you think this would mean more kills than say a Maven,SWFA or NF? The size and weight penalty seems extreme. I can not think of a scenario where I missed out on an animal because the reticle was so bad it was unusable.

I’ve been following this thread and I’m so bummed for yall. That’s a shockingly high failure rate out of the box for something you paid quite a bit for.

@EuroOptic I think we are going to need your help going to bat for us with Blaser on fixing these, otherwise you’re probably going to have quite a few returns…

Any help would be appreciated, because I think we all really want to use the hell out of these.
Agreed, I've been one click away from getting this scope for years. I plan on dying with this thing.

I set up on my 600 yard gong.

Cliff Notes:

New glasses: diopter set last night.

Shooting glasses: diopter rotated out a slight turn when I switched

No glasses: can't turn it in far enough to get a clear reticle

With both pairs of glasses the target is clear with the reticle readable out to 10x with the parallax set at 50.

At 15x the target is kinda blurry.
At 20x it's more blurry.
At 25x it's very blurry.

At every magnification if I adjust the parallax away from 50 the target becomes more blurry.

If I adjust the diopter to make the target visible the reticle becomes very blurry.

So at 25x I can make the target clear with the diopter all the way out with the parallax at 50 yards but when you turn the parallax is gets blurry AF.

It's like the parralax is installed backwards or upside down or rotated too far.

I checked mine that I got a couple years ago. I dont have these problems.

Are we all in agreement that this is a good summary of the problems we’re seeing? - I need a good condensed & explained message to present my case. I am out of the office until Monday, as are the people i will need to work with to get this resolved.

Anybody seeing issues shoot me a pm along with your order number so I can keep track

I’ll do everything I can to get you guys fixed up, if Blaser doesn’t resolve the issue a return for refund / exchange for whatever optic you’d like is on the table for all you guys.

Bums me out that this is what this deal turned into.

Hi Jake, I missed out on this buy, but my suggestion is to push with Blaser to just get them repaired - there's no other comparable scope, and Blaser/Minox definitely have the ability to fix this.

Not sure if it's an option for Euro to act as a central point for the scopes to go back to and then bulk-send to Blaser - but even if the guys have to send them back individually, your voice as the vendor and with such a high issue rate, could really help.

And to everyone else: I think it was only yesterday that Jake was up a mountain shed hunting and replying to threads, so kudos for dealing with this on a weekend ... and especially if he's still outdoors.

I'll try to shoot Monday or Tuesday and pay close attention to see if mine actually has an issue.
Checked my card finally, 2022.
