Q&A for Minox ZP5 5-25x56mm THLR scope

I’ve been following this forum for a couple years and just made an account to chime in on this. I picked up two Minox ZP5’s last spring from B&H, one with the THLR and one with the MR4. I had the same issue with my THLR and had to send it in for warranty through Blaser USA. Basically identical issues to what you describe. Went back to Minox and was repaired. Got it back in the fall and it’s been flawless since. It’s my favorite scope by a long shot. Fairly frustrated to get one with issues out of the box, however.

Wow, that sucks. Good to know they fixed it........whatever needed fixing (did they explain that to you). How long did it take to get it back, from the time you sent it off? Ya, really sucks that it's right out of the box. I'm going to do some more testing of it at different ranges and see how much it affects the use of the reticle and the accuracy of my aiming before I try to send it off. See if I can fine tune it a little bit at distance while it's in the lead sled. If I can get them close enough, I'll probably just deal with it. Thanks for posting this.

The scope was sent off in late April/early May-ish and I received it back late August/early September. I assume it had something to do with either the diopter or parallax adjustment. I could get either the scope or the reticle to be clear, seemingly at the maximum parallax setting. But neither clear at the same time. I got a sinking feeling when I started trying to set up the THLR that was quickly confirmed by the ease of adjustment on the MR4 version. If I had to guess, I would say it felt like the parallax was wildly off. I’ll include a picture of the repair slip that was returned to me. Maybe someone with better knowledge of scope function/internals could provide some insight. IMG_7461.jpeg
