Put in for some first time hunts!

Have gone after whitetail all over east coast plus Ks and Tx. Also one self guided AK moose hunt, and a guided Croatia (awesome btw) stag hunt. Yesterday put in for elk points in Co, Mt and Wy. Plan is guided elk in Co in 28 and then who knows when / if in Mt and eventually Wy.

Also put in for on range oryx NM next year. Low odds but you never know. Didn’t realize how affordable and easy those hunts are and that animal is just 100% beautiful to me!

Anyway, excited to have a plan in my place. Co will be guided and budgeting $10k. Hate to have given up on DIY moose, but Croatia really spoiled me with the hand holding.

Good luck to you and I'm happy you’re planning for some fun! Oryx is a blast, if you draw. My soon to be 16yo son has drawn 3 oryx tags. I can’t get one, but it’s been fun with him. He brought home a nice 30” cow off range this year.

Two on range (OIL and BHO) and one off range. He can’t seem to draw deer or elk, but we’re not complaining. It’s always fun chasing new animals and new experiences.

Give us some more info on this Croatia stag hunt?

Oh gosh. Not sure where to even start. Lodge based owned by husband wife team. 4 hunters. I think 5 nights and we hunted 4 days. Did one night in capital city of Zagreb after flying in. Rented car, drove to lodge, and after hunt drove to coast for another 10 days or so. Have tons of pics but not sure which ones to even load. Trip was 9.8 / 10. Brother in law and I both harvested early for fear of weather. His was nice mine average. Wx set in and once it cleared I got best of 3 on hunt on last morning! All hunting was out of lodge. Roaring all night from lodge. 50% mountains and 50% flood plains in bottom of mnt tops. Native herd. I wound up with a super high bronze stag for this region of Europe.
