5milesback:Ya I don't have kids, the only reason I said "punk my list" was I had seen that title on here before... Anyways, I like the idea of the baby wipes and will go pick some up today.
Justin:That is what I have been doing I just keep track of what I'm using and what I am not and pack the next time accordingly. I see your point on the redundant items.

Thanks all. Hopefully I can make some upgrades next year to some lighter gear.

What are you hunting? What time of year? How well do you know the area you're hunting? What are your expectations during your time afield?
These questions dictate what I bring on hunts.

x2 about the baby wipes and flashlight.

Are you guys drying the wipes before you go and wetting them or taking them wet ? I've got a couple of 3d packs I've dried so that's how I'm using them but wanted to see what others are doing.

Are you guys packing out your' used baby wipes? I'm sure they don't bio-degrade anywhere close to as fast as TP. Not nagging, it's just an honest question.

I don't pack them out and sometimes feel a little guilty about it. I think most of the major brands are a poly based product which keeps them from degrading on the shelves and also in the woods. I do think there are some biodegradable ones on the market though, but I haven't tried any of them out.

I use the biodegradable ones, and haven't packed TP once in the last 15 years. I've hunted and camped in the same areas for the past 10+ years and never see any wipes anywhere. I even use the same hole I dig every year at base camp and don't find any wipes from the year before, so they must degrade.

I only take baby wipes. No need for TP when you have the finer things in life. I don't dry them either. Nor do I pack used ones. I bury them in my hole with all the other goodies :) .
