There is an extra battery for the coyote ir, both are rechargeable LI-ON. When using the coyote ir you have an extra LI-ON battery from the pulsar ir that can be used in the scope. I use a 10000ma power bank & cord with self adhesive velcro attached to the rifle hook strip on the power bank and loop strip on the stock of the rifle if I know that I will be hunting for over three hours in low temps, under 25* F otherwise the batteries that came with the unit are enough for a hunt sometimes even two.
Oh and yes both the scope and ir kit came with chargers.
