I have the Grumman, it’s an awesome super warm, extremely light jacket. Only thing I wish it had is a waist cinch for keeping out drafts, other than that zero complaints I love it. Warmth to weight is as good or better than almost anything on the market even outside the hunting space
All I can tell ya is that I wore my Kuiu Ultra down Pro jacket on my late January predator hunt above the Arctic circle in Alaska and I was never cold. I wore a light merino base under a heavy merino base and then a grid fleece under my down jacket. It was -20° to -30°. I kinda feel like ANY of the brands mentioned will be fine and people quibble about one versus another. It’s all about proper layering for the immediate conditions. A 5 day hunt may require 5 different adjustments. For sure the Kuiu ultra pro ought to be adequate for just about anything if it’ll keep a thinner diabetic warm in those temps while sitting still for long periods of time. Just a thought.
