If its a OIL type hunt and the guy is not arrogant I would give someone all the info I could. There is no reason not to help in that situation.

I think that everyone here is speaking from the standpoint of general tag or otc tag situations where an area could easily be overrun. If it's a hard to draw limited entry or a OIL tag, that's different. Thirty guys can't flood those areas.

I apologize if work had me sounding surly. I'm not saying that no one should help anyone. I have been the recipient of quality help and information. I'm just saying that you should help with your own information, not your buddy's. And if someone says, "I'm sorry. I can't share that.", then respect that and drop it.


Just be a decent guy. To your friends. To other hunters. It's not hard or complicated.

I try to do good and don't look over my shoulder after doing it. In other words I help when I can with who I think I should. Have I been burned a time or three...sure have, however the good I received in return has more then outweighed the negatives.
