I recently learned that palmetto state armory will blacklist you/ block you if you do a chargeback on a purchase regardless of the circumstances involved. Back in April I purchased a red dot through them for a carry pistol. It didn’t fit properly so elected to return it because I didn’t have anything it would work on. I sent it back and about 3-4 weeks went by and never got a confirmation email that it was received or a refund. I called and they said to wait another week and see after sending two emails that went unanswered. I waited another week 2 weeks and still hasn’t gotten anything so I called back after sending more emails. They stated I had received a refund and it should be in my account. I had nothing and called my bank to verify and that stated that I didn’t have any refunds or anything pending. The only thing from PSA was the purchase. I contacted PSA again and they stated that it was a bank issue and refused to credit or look into it further. At this point I contacted my bank again for next steps and they recommended to do a chargeback. At this point it had been nearly 2.5 months since I sent everything back. I was not notified that I was banned or anything and didn’t know it until I tried to make two purchases recently. I had to call them to find out because I’ve seen multiple emails and got nowhere. So just wanted to let everyone know of scummy practices that PSA engaged in because I’ve always been a longtime supporter and recommender of their products.

They are notorious for selling items not in stock and trying to push a substitute item as you had actually bought the substitute. Employees will argue with you when you have a printout of the order in your hand.
In South Carolina they charge $19 to "ship" a firearm 60 miles on a supply truck that's going from Columbia warehouse to Greenville store anyway. PSA is a POS in my book.

Just recently they did a crazy sale on some eotechs. PSA ended up recalling them mid shipment and people never received their items. They got a refund but still not a great look on their part.

They had my email crammed full, 3 or 4 every day. How many purchases did they expect from me per month or week or whatever???
Quality not quantity sometimes is brought up in the firearms world. They did not get that memo.

That’s wild, I was a fan because I was stationed in SC and they had a store not too far from base so they’d give us decent deals on guns and then let us shoot for pretty cheap. Sucks because they were one of my favorite companies. But yeah, they’ve seriously gone down hill.

Agreed, I bet I get 3-4 emails from them a day and that’s how I found out I was blocked was I tried to purchase two firearms from them and it wouldn’t go through. I emailed and didn’t get a response and then decided to call them and I had a feeling it had to do with the chargeback.

I posted on this forum when PSA kept 3 of the hi-cap mags that were included in my purchase.
Their reasoning was shipping them to WA is illegal.
I asked for some kind of credit for them or replacement 10-rd mags and they said git effed.

A few months ago PSA advertised left hand Ruger 30-06's at a good price. I immediately placed an order and my credit card was charged. A few days later received a tracking number. Then a few days later they emailed me the rifle was out of stock and my order was cancelled. My emails to them saying I would wait for a backorder were never answered.
They can kiss my ass before I ever order from PSA again.

Sounds like everyone has a story.

I have 2.

One of them is in the $599.99 tikka deal thread.

The other is more or less the same situation, different gun, around 6 years ago.

PSA is not worth the hassle and I live in SC near 2 stores.

I’ve order ammo from them a decade ago. Was thinking about buying one of their Glock clones. They’ve long been replaced by better ammo sellers. But, I’ll forgo the gen lll clone. I don’t need anymore head aches.

I’m surprised you were able to get through to someone. Half the time my emails have went unanswered and when I’ve had to call, it’s been a headache getting through to the right people but that sounds about normal of them. You would think they would at least of given you store credit or something similar since they are just going to resell the mags they stole from you.

That's pretty much true of most large retailers from what I understand.
I would understand if they weren’t still holding my money. After 3 months of calling and showing physical evidence that they hadn’t refunded my money, that’s when I had the issue. They also even noted in the comments that the investigation done by my bank concluded that I hadn’t gotten any money back and they had the item I returned.

I'm not defending them, I'm just saying it's pretty standard practice by lots of large retailers. There's plenty of corporate practices that suck for consumers.

Their perspective is that even though they were wrong, any customer who has proven willing to charge something back is prone to be a problem in the future and they do business with so many people they can afford to lose you.

It’s very clear on their website they don’t ship to certain states. And no substitutions are made. Sucks that they do this, but it’s part of the natural consequences of living in a commie state.

I’m in SC and have dealt with them from the beginning. They have always been that way. We buy from them because they have good deals and used to ship to store for free. But it’s always been a known fact that if you are looking for customer service or fast shipping you’d better go somewhere else. It’s not so much a buyer beware, as a buyer be aware.
