Sen. Lee’s public lands sale proposal is dead, as is. He has voiced his intention to reintroduce a scaled down version. The new version is supposed to eliminate all National Forest land from consideration and limit considered BLM land to land within five miles of a developed area.

The new version still mandates selling more acreage than the house version that was previously thrown out. Classic tactic of throwing out such an outrageous proposal with hopes of watered down version back to what he probably wanted in the first place, just need to start with outrageous version to now have appearance of reasonably negotiating, hopefully everyone sees through it

I believe most people have never negotiated for anything in their life, so they can't recognize what they don't know. Happens every time Trump tries to get anything done.
