Last bull what they packed they kept as I recall 3000 elevation gain 11 miles round trip and 8 hours of walking. I am ok with that👍 and over the last two decades have gladly given a quarter when it is an all day experience with getup drive time and then walk time thankfully most are still on the call list when I am in a pinch.

I never expect anything when helping friends. Although they usually surprise me with a couple of packages of meat/steaks. If not, no big deal. I because we're friends, not for a payoff.

Cold beer back at the pickup usually helps too.

My partner and I split everything. I would say be more generous than less if you want there help in the future.

If they don’t have a ‘like license’ you can donate up 20lb of unprocessed game meat, anywhere.
More than 20lbs has to be at the recipient’s home.

More info on page 15 of the Regs

Additionally, if it is a like license this voids the recipient's license, and cannot be done if the license is already tied to a carcass.

We've always just helped one another. We usually eat some at camp and, never have shared it between the group. But in the years we have went we all have killed or, had an opportunity to kill elk.
