I was doing some research in to some different calibers and one of them was the new 7BC that was released at shot show this year. When I was looking into what actions were considered sufficient for the higher pressures, even though it's my understanding the chamber holds most of that pressure, I got curious if any manufacturers were offering pre-fits for tikkas in the new calibers. It would seem Proof Research feels like a tikka action is sufficient to hold that pressure in one of its carbon barrels. Here is the link https://proofresearch.com/barrels/tikka-pre-fit/
I thought this might be an interesting topic as my professional thought process is that I don't foresee all of these companies adjusting manufacturing and adding cost to a receiver for one cartridge. That feels like a large undertaking for someone like savage for example who produces a lot of rifles to have a manufacturing line, dies, machinery, etc just for one new cartridge. I could be wrong, but I'd love to hear from individuals more knowledgeable about me when it comes to manufacturing specifically, even the engineering to an extend.
