The official score was up to the owner to enter. He chose not to enter it. After this thread I understand why!
I only posted a simple photo, imagine the guy who shot it and the grilling he would get! Yikes! You know I cleaned a 16-5/16 lion for a guy in Boise Idaho. He did not enter it either. Even though at the time it would have been at the top of any book.
It's likely sitting on a shelf in his garage now. He had no interest in the questions from the public. Over the years I found this to be a very strong trend. There are not many bears over 22" in the book. Yet every year I cleaned 5-10 of them. When asked if they wanted them scored and the forms filled out, all but a few said okay. It was crazy that so many guys did not even know what B&C , P&Y, or SCI even were about! Most had no idea that the bear was extraordinary. This is the same times ten for hound hunters bringing lion skulls in, no interest in anything public regarding the skull.
There are some extraordinary trophies that have never been entered just because it seems most hunters simply don't care about that, or don't need the hassle.
