No offense but don't be so vague next time. When you have that big of a skull people immediately become suspicious, this was only fueled by statements that you made that turned out to be untrue, wether to your knowledge or not. If you had said check out this skull that I've had at my shop, insert Alaska story, it would never have come to this point. People may have jumped on to soon but the entire thing was very fishy at first.

I skinned this bear and cleaned this skull myself.

It's a hair over 9" wide, but not dried 90 days yet, so should shrink just a bit to 9" wide

.

Great bear and collection. But from the readers perspective you have raised some contradictory info with your story, so people are going to prod for more info. My question is why is it still drying for 90 days if it was killed/posted elsewhere in 2011?

Yeah, it was not dried as of that photo and while that ruler was there. It was still.moist right out of the peroxide when that was taken.

One of the main reasons it was not mentioned to the 1/16" because it was not dry.

Remind me to have my attorney read over my posts to make sure they meet the legal disclaimer Todd has set forth. Imagine every post being mined Into for this minutia of detail! Holy cow!

Is this a site for entertainment and sharing things with friends? Or just beating the crap out of the new guy?

Were official measurements never taken then? Seems like 3 years is plenty of time to get one. Not saying you are lying just curious why they weren't posted instead of the green score given the time line...

The official score was up to the owner to enter. He chose not to enter it. After this thread I understand why!

I only posted a simple photo, imagine the guy who shot it and the grilling he would get! Yikes! You know I cleaned a 16-5/16 lion for a guy in Boise Idaho. He did not enter it either. Even though at the time it would have been at the top of any book.

It's likely sitting on a shelf in his garage now. He had no interest in the questions from the public. Over the years I found this to be a very strong trend. There are not many bears over 22" in the book. Yet every year I cleaned 5-10 of them. When asked if they wanted them scored and the forms filled out, all but a few said okay. It was crazy that so many guys did not even know what B&C , P&Y, or SCI even were about! Most had no idea that the bear was extraordinary. This is the same times ten for hound hunters bringing lion skulls in, no interest in anything public regarding the skull.

There are some extraordinary trophies that have never been entered just because it seems most hunters simply don't care about that, or don't need the hassle.

If you have nothing to hide zero reason to fear any questions. I have not killed a ton of big game animals but more then I can count on my hands and I can tell you whatever you want to know about any of them I personally would be suspicious of someone not wanting that bear put into the books. Sorry If I shot the biggest bear ever recorded put me down for awnsering all the questions you got..
As far as everything else goes the English language has this thing called pastents you should try using it when talkin about things that happened in the past.
