Probably the best vapor trail ever!

A buddy of mine wanted to try some light weight bullets in his .300 WM on deer. I was shocked at the vapor trail that it produced. I’ve never seen anything but a .50 BMG that had anything like this. You can see the vapor trail all the way to the target in the pictures which is 400 yards. These are screen shots from a video that I took. The bullet is a 124 grain Hammer bullet at 3770 fps.

Wow! Great vapor trail, holy crap those bullets are flying fast! Were they accurate?

They're known for that. I've heard left over oils from the cutting process will remain in the hollow point. It makes for some nice visuals.

Interesting about the oil. We have noticed that is much more pronounced when the humidity is high.

Loads were very accuracy. Under half minute.

The Hammer bullets do that out of my .308. I've shot a lot of different bullet types but never seen a vapor trail quite like the Hammers produce.

Yep, 117 Hammers out of my 270WSM @ 3500 look about like that.
