Is measuring necessary? I just want to seat to the bottom, but I do t want to load 300-500 rounds with a hand primer.

I was planning on getting a cps for years now I just have hard time spending that. The pcps might be perfect for me.

Yeah, I like to seat them just below flush.

I use the tubes that come with the Frankford Arsenal Vibra Prime.

This is the best bang for the buck in my opinion, doesn’t break the bank, and loads primers as quickly as you can. Not discounting any other method or device previously mentioned, this one just seems to work great for me!

I have almost bought that a number of times. I have a T7 turret press. The pcps can go on it and I won't have additional device bolted to my bench.

That's the best part about the CPS. No hand fatigue but you still have really good feel as you seat the primers.

Thanks. I don't want to drop CPS coin for a seater. Are you saying the CPS has better feel than the PCPS? I would be putting the PCPS on my T7.

I think I am ordered the non-micrometer PCPS to try it.

Is there any evidence that these fancy primer seating devices deliver better precision on target? Has anyone ever loaded same bullet/brass/powder/charge weight with a basic hand primer and then seen improvement with one of these more expensive priming devices?

Yes, I can feel more with the CPS. But I wouldn't buy it over the PCPS if I was shopping for one.

Almost zero evidence of it making a difference on target. I would not buy one for that reason. I would buy a CPS or a PCPS (and probably others I haven't tried) for how fast they are and how easy they are to use.

Literally the only reason I choose either of these over my hand primer is the hand and arm fatigue/pain when I'm loading large batches.

The CPS was a great investment for me - I primed just a tad under 1k 300 BLK a few days ago. Pretty efficient.

I seat them to the bottom of the pocket. My reasoning is that the firing pin can't ignite the primer until the primer bottoms out. If the firing pin has to seat the primer before it ignites it, it wastes firing pin energy.

I am not claiming to be an expert. I may be full of shit, but It is what I do.
