Hands down my favorite so far.
Hands down my favorite so far.
I'm not sure you can call it pretty, per se, but i just adore looking at it! It's my own idea of an 1850's truck gun (ok...... it's a canoe gun really) .62 smoothbore, literally built from a mix of Lyman, CVA, Traditions & TC spare parts, rebored by Bobby Hoyt. I'm not exaggerating when I say I have maybe 40 bucks in this thing.

How does that shoot? I heard the sauers shoot pretty darn well.My latest, though not the beautiful walnut some of you are lucky enough to own, is still unique and my favorite.
JP Sauer 100 in 6.5 PRC, sporting Atacama camouflage , Vortex HS-LR 4-16x50
Hmmm... would look good with a black can, don't you think? ;-)

After zeroing at 100 and without even really trying, it's shooting less than 1MOA at both 200 & 300. Again, I didn't have a lot of range time and didn't even have to try to get that. Anxious to get all my chores done so I can go spend some quality time with it. I'm certain it's going to be a tack driver. Oh, and need to get the press going so I have something to shoot withHow does that shoot? I heard the sauers shoot pretty darn well.
That is one of the sexiest rifles I have laid eyes on! What a beauty.I broke down. My motivation for this (and the master just as deep) View attachment 252966

I know a lot of people value rifles based on their function and utility. And they should. I do. But I also like pretty rifles; ones that are just lookers, ones that are lookers and for shooting on occasion, and ones that are functional and pretty.
Let's see your prettiest rifle.
Please don't show me a picture of your beat up Tikka unless that's all you have and you have no eye for aesthetics
If you're going to brag, then truly go big. Here is a little something for you. Gorgeous Beretta shotgun with amazing wood with hand engraving. Not mine but obviously there's a market for it.

When I took the photo I sent it to the wife with a "Look at what I just bought". She did not find it humorous at all. Way too much money for me but was stunning and I am sure it shot well.SPF to Geewhiz... lol
