Pressure signs, do I have any?

To each his own, but a chrono is one of, if not the easiest way to see pressure. Lots of times the supposed pressure signs like bolt lift, ejector marks, flattened primers, etc aren't all that great of an indicator until it's too late. Redlining reloaded ammo is never a good idea.
Agreed. Since most of us don’t have labs with pressure testing equipment, velocity is our most reliable ‘pressure sign’.
 
The most reliable sign of max pressure with the OP’s recipe is ~2700fps on the chrono, assuming the tikka is a 24” barrel.

I'll get the chronograph setup today and get some numbers. I cut the barrel to 18" for suppressor use. With the 24" and 40gr of h4350 I was at 2600 fps. Wanted to bump up since I lost velocity with the barrel cut.
 
I’d figure 2550-2575 is pretty close to max pressure based on book velocities with an 18” barrel with H4350. Could beat it with RL16

Alright, I did 5 round through the chronograph, 5 rounds un-suppressed, and 15 shots for some grouping and zeroing all at 100 yds. This is 41.5gr h4350, hornady brass, fed 210, 140gr eldm.

No sticky bolts at all or pressure signs on brass or primers. Groups were good, suppressor might have come loose on the last 5 shot group and had an effect, but I'm happy with around a 1-1.25 moa group at 100yds with 15 rds. Going to pull bullets on my previous loads and reload them after cold bore.

Nice, looks like you got back most of the velocity, kept it to a book max load and have no pressure signs. Good work all around.
 
I know this is an old thread but I am interested in if you are still using this load or if you tried RL16. I am in the same boat right now, 18" barrel trying to shoot 127 G LRX as fast as I can accurately and safely.

I'm running a 140gr eldm with h4350 at book max no issues. I did load up some lrx and then decided I was going to stick with lead for now. Don't recall that load though but I can look at my notes. Haven't shot it yet either.
 
I shot some tonight, 18" Savage Carbon Fiber, 127 G LRX, 41.5 G H4350, 2.752 COAL, CCI 200, 2561 FPS, group = 1.5". It will shoot American Gunner ammo at .75" pretty easily. I will continue to work on the load.

6.5 Creedmoor and 127 LXR how hot is to hot?.

Seems slow for that bullet, but I don't really have a point of reference.
 
I agree, 2560 is starting out pretty slow, 18" barrel, 41.5 G H4350 (1.5 G above what Barnes recommends as max) I worked up to it and the velocities were consistently rising, at 42 G I started to see the ejection port marks on the brass so I stopped; never had a heavy bolt lift though. This was intended to be my 12 year old sons elk load. He uses the 145 G LRX in his 7BR for white tail deer and they are awesome! I can't get the 127 G to group under 1.25" in the 6.5 CM plus it is only starting at 2560 FPS. Might look at Hammers or the Hornady CX. I know this will stir a hornets nest but I want the all copper in case he hits a bone on the elk due to not the greatest shot placement, I know it has to be placed in the vitals but I find the all coppers will not explode if it encounters bone. Maybe a Nosler Partition or ELDX might be good too?

I am a fan of the eldm. Can use either 140 or 147 and get enough velocity for good terminal performance farther than I would shoot. Does a lot of damage! I thought I wanted to go copper but didn't have any reason to legally, so stuck with the eldm because it's so easy to load for too.
