Premade Meals

I want to buy premade meals for an elk trip. I am thinking I would rather have more than less, and I want to buy in bulk. Where do y'all buy from? Sorry if this isn't where this is sup post to go. Going to be gone for 8 days.

I have had dozens of peak meals. Maybe not everything in the bucket, not sure. I have about 40 in my stockpile. Chicken and rice is probably my favorite.

I dont think you can go wrong with that. I am just trying to check things off the list. Thank you for the help.

I wouldn't buy the bucket., I would choose each meal. First order from Peak refuel you can get 15% off. I have enjoyed most meals from peak.

Top 3:
1)Chicken coconut curry
2)Chicken teriyaki Rice
3)Cheesy chicken and broccoli (Don't see this one on their website though)

Lots of people speak highly of the beef strog but I'm just not a fan of that meal. Both of their white pastas, pesto chicken and chicken alfredo, are good but serving size left me hungry.

The breakfast skillet was large the few times I had it, but requires lot of water. Also, has a shit ton of potatoes in it. I found myself skipping breakfast and just eating bars. Another reason I would avoid the buckets, I don't want the granola, breakfast skillet, etc. No desserts for me either. Tried there little cookie bites once, but I just take a chocolate bar. Wife is allergic to peanuts, so I take advantage of this when hunting, hello snickers and wunderbars.

Haven't tried them all, so I can't comment on everyone, but Peaks always tasted good.

Bought my own FD and used some of their ideas as bases for mine.

Peak. When you can catch a sale at Black Ovis, great pricing. All of it I’ve had has been good. You also can maybe stack another discount, then use points potentially. Sometimes a free Ti spoon too.

The Peak meals are awesome but another option, and what I started doing and haven’t looked back, is buying the Mtn House bulk cans then packaging your own using Wallaby Mylar MRE bags. This way you can control both portion size and how much air is in the bag which has helped with space taken up in the pack. Also if you catch their sales it is definitely the cheapest option.
Just an idea that hasn’t been thrown out there yet. Takes me about 10 mins to knock that chore out.
