Powder recommendations

I am wanting to see what you think is the best powder to use.
My buddy wants to load some 180 grain cutting edge Maximus out of a 300 win mag
He’s using Norma brass

RE22 worked well in my 300W with 190s SMKs. Hard powder to find now. Take a look at H4831. Seems available lately

H4381, 7828, RL22,23,26, n555,560, n165 type powders.

Ive had good luck with H1000 if you have a longer barrel. You'll probably find yourself with a full compressed case with coppers though.
