Not gonna read the whole thread but just wanted to chime in and say that I’ve sent 3 scopes back to leupold in the last year. All vx3-hd.

Thanks for sharing. How long has it taken Leupold to address the warranty issues and get the scopes back to you?

I'm shipping a Leupold Mark 4HD back tomorrow for warranty due to a POI shift and wondering if it can be repaired in a manner that will eliminate the risk of this happening again.

About a three week door to door.

Got it back yesterday.
Good news. Hope Leupold permanently fixed it.

Was this scope repaired by Leupold within that same 3 week turnaround?

My Mark 4HD finally made it to Leupold yesterday (shipped 2/11 delivered 2/18 for $124 :) )

When it comes back from Leupold I'm hoping I can become confident in the scope. I moved a Nightforce NXS from a 308 to the 7 PRC this Mark 4 had been on. The theory being I will never shoot past a couple hundred yards with the 308 so if the Leupold has another POI shift, hopefully it will not be enough to cause a miss at short range.

I have 4 or 5 other Leupolds, all VX3's, and have owned many more. Other than the elevation and windage adjustments always being a PITA to sight in, I've never had any problems until this Mark 4. All of the Leupold's I've owned are older though, at least 10 years old and most more than 15 years old.

I think I sent it on 2/6 and just got it back and yes it stated that it had been repaired. Tossing it on the gun this afternoon. Hopefully the problems are solved......

Just got an email stating my scope Leupold received on 2/18/25 has been shipped. No explanation as to what was done. Assume the details will be included with the scope. Sure can't complain about a 3-day turn around.

Any chance you could give a bit more detail on what kind of mk4 and what POI shift circumstances were? I’m trying to gather data on those optics.

A 5/10 POI shift to the right and about the same downward. Adjusted the elevation turret and reset to zero but in a hurry so just screwed the windage cap back on. A trip or two later to the range - a POI shift to the left and upward. The windage went right back to 0 so the same 5/10 shift - but this time left.

I have 4 or 5 VX3's (and owned many more) that are all older and although zeroing is a PITA, I've never had a POI shift that I recall. A couple of decades ago I dropped my gun in Colorado and remember thinking there's no way that scope didn't get knocked off, but it stayed true.

Leupold provided a quick turnaround (no explanation in the shipping email) so I'm hoping they got it fixed. Love that Leupold glass much more than my NXS's.

Thanks, one more question. How many rounds each and what total group size were used and observed to assess initial zero, zero shift, and second zero shift?
