OR, he may be a rich middle-aged fat guy who hires a guide to hunt in exotic locations like africa and mexico, and has been going on extravagant hunts to stave off the boredom of being fabulously wealthy, and has his guide sight in his rifle for him. Or both. Or neither. Frankly I dont give a rats behind if any of those things are true--here, just like all of us, he's just another guy with a funny handle who spends too much time arguing about scopes. Whether anyone is the shit or not is irrelevant--we're all nothing here beyond what we post. The difference is that some people show their work so you know how they arrive at their conclusions, and if you want to argue with it you can point to the merit of their methodology. JG on the other hand, refuses to provide any context to his claims, so we have no idea what standard he applies to his rifle, we have no idea if or how he verifies it, and frankly, if you refuse to provide context while insisting others are wrong, it's just hot air. "talk minus action=zilch". As stated before, "minute of deer" is worthless in this context, it's simply not relevant without more detail. Show your work, or at least describe it in detail so we can all understand the full context, and I'll give it every ounce of weight it deserves. Refuse to provide any context, and I'll continue to give it less credence than I do to those who show their work.

Sorry guys, I retired 6 years ago at 58.5 and I only drink 2 cans of Yuengling at the gun club on Friday nights. The point stands. You could be Teddy Roosevelt, Elmer Kieth, Peter Hathaway Capstick, or Daniel Boone, it's irrelevant. Or you could be a fly by night "outfitter" capitalizing on city folk that dont know any better. The point is that I judge what you say ONLY by what you post (and everyone else here too). The fact that you are a guide tells me nothing--there are good guides and really, really bad guides, and even many of the good guides know jack nothing about shooting--their job is to put clients on game, not be a ballistics expert. This is what Marbles was getting at--it's not that he was calling you a liar, I dont think he was--it's that NONE of us can rely on our reputation or status or title unless we show our work. Like it or not, that's the standard--all claims without context or detail that allows them to be evaluated on merit alone are automatically discounted.

I think you like hearing yourself talk, no offense. While I appreciate you educating me on what guide is (in your opinion of course), I'm not a guide.....I was a part time guide, but still guide myself and friends.

We can't believe the words Form states in his drop tests, nothing written in optics testing.....nothing presented in most everything since it is just words by a member and really isn't verifiable information. RMM...I do know how old you are.......I'm not new here and I have the time to read a LOT of posts here in all of the topics, for many years...including yours. Remember, I'm retired. LOL. I know a lot about you.

The only animals I have actually mounted are a 150 whitetail shoulder mount hanging in the garage(the taxidermist had to use a mule deer form), one 165 whitetail I did not full mount, and my 6 African game animals presented in my foyer. I grew up on the 350 acre farm that I still reside and hunt on, but not still owned by family since mom sold it in the mid 90's. Oh, I have taken many deer off of this farm over the decades but most were not of bragging size and were viewed as table-fare for our family. None of us really cared what the rack looked like....I still don't.

I spent a lot of time hunting and fishing Lycoming and Tioga counties but in the past 10 years or so hunt in Cameron county at a friend's cabin.
