Hey guys. I know there are Polaris Ranger specific forums but I thought I'd start here since I know there's a lot of knowledge on this forum!
I've got a 2013 Polaris Ranger 800. When it's warmed up, it's starts and runs with no issues.
However, when it's cold (sitting in my garage which is about 50 degrees) and it hasn't been started for a few days, it cranks, fires, runs for a second, then dies. Typically I've had to then wait 15-20 minutes and then start it again and it will run. If I don't wait, it just cranks and kills the battery.
Today, I went to start it to plow my driveway and it did the same thing. Fired then died immediately. But today, instead of waiting, I disconnected the positive battery terminal, reconnected and tried to start it right away. It fired up immediately. So, something seems to be wrong electrically.
If anyone has any thoughts or tips on what to try to get rid of this issue I'd appreciate it! I typically try to fix these things myself without taking it to the dealer. If I can figure it out myself, that would be fantastic.
Thanks!
