Pistol hunting

I recently decided to try and do something different. So I drug out the Super Blackhawk in .44mag. It's got iron sights. I am very confident out to 75yds so far. I am going along with my brother hunting mulies and my dad hunting elk next year in CO. I think I might buy a bear tag and take the pistol along. Any other pistol hunters out there? Let's see some pics of your pistol kills!

I use a ruger blackhawk SA .357 when I still stalk whitetails. Both deer in my profile were shot the same day with it. Doe at 15 yards and the buck at 81. I wouldn't necessarily recommend .357 though. It kills them fine but out of 11 deer I've had only 2 blood trails. They all die within 30 yards but if they didn't I would be screwed.

There's a weapons restricted (bow/handgun/shotgun) area near me that's full of whitetail. I picked up a 44 barrel for my Contender a few weeks ago and am planning on spending some time in there next year.

I have a archery only buck tag so can only shoot antlerless with the pistol this year. Went out and only deer in range was a decent 9pt. I am going to keep at it till I get one with it.

Just got hands on a 30/30 win barrel for my contender and I believe it's gonna get used until I connect on a wall hanger.
