OK cleaned up a little.

Even though the shop is cluttered I’ve managed to turn Out 53 fairly decent guitars over the last 15 years in my spare time. Here’s one of my latest nearing completion.

I also have a problem with sawdust and lacquer overspray. So I’ll be keeping my reloading stuff in sealed ammo cans and only getting it out between guitars. I’m planning on having a piece of heavy plywood that has holes for bolting the re-loading components down, and then just screwing that to the bench.

Regarding powder throwers... how accurate is the Lee Perfect Powder Measure? Do I need to weigh each charge, or set the thrower a little light and finish with a trickler on the scale?

I recently added more of the Inline Fabrication system which I really like.

Having everything close to the press makes loading very efficient.

As you can see, I still have some details to finish along with the rest of the paint on the lowers.

OCD, perhaps? But a good kind. YOU, are organized!!!!!

Feels like a cheap toy but is +/- .1 every throw on certain powders. I use it for all bulk .223 and pistol loading. Kind of rough on long stick powders though, but for that I use my RCBS digital.

That’s awesome! I just bought a new Taylor 324ce. Loving it. Any place we can go to check yours out?

Right handed folks tend to work the lever with our right hand. Turn to the right, insert case with left hand, pull lever with right.

So I’m gonna have two presses. I’m envisioning my process like this: start with cleaning and then lubing the cases. Trim to length with a hand drill mounted gauge/trimmer. Then size and de-cap with the first press on the left. Throw powder charges. Then seat bullets.

Two questions... 1) for hunting loads is 1 or 2 tenths of a grain close enough ? (30-06 Less than 400 yards.) Or do I need to weigh each 2) Is crimping a big deal?

I weigh every throw. You'll find some powders measure better than others, eg, stick vs ball. I do not crimp but I do set neck tension with a separate mandrel.

1) Most will never know, for me yes. Even in my PRS rifles.
2) Only on semi autos and HEAVY recoil guns (45-70 lever, BAR, etc.)

I would advise trim/chamfer/debur after sizing.
