Looking for moose.

Went hunting in Alberta for moose. They just weren't talking, and only saw two moose in 7 days. They were both nice bulls, but never got closer than 160 yards. It seems they may have rutted early in the zone I was hunting, since we found lots of sign but they were not responsive to calling at all. Left the camera in my pack for the most part, but here are a few pictures I took.

Left the jungles of NW Montana for a few days to find a bull in central MT...
Bloody arrow in the dirt next to a rub he was working with the ridge I shot him from 35 yds away in the background.



Even gave him a ride in my truck all the way back to the wet side of the state

it is nice having young ones in the family to teach about the packing experience especially as I age and they get bigger and stronger!
