Sorry that this is not in compliance with the one photo a day, but this is a tribute to our wonderful chocolate lab that was a huge part of our family in both our children and our lives. RIP Bella, you were a wonderful companion that lived a most graceful 14 years. You were raised with my children and my family and we will surly miss you. You kept the bears out of our camp, fetched up many birds, and you were just a wonderful river dog in general. Thank you for your companionship sweetheart, your family is going to miss you terribly, safe travels.

Didn’t have a tag this year, but I saw over 200 elk in 3 days up at 6,500-8,500 feet in the Coconino national forest this weekend. Great weekend of cruising the trails in the Jeep and glassing.

Lots of archery hunters on side by sides hunting the roads as it was opening weekend in that unit. If they just parked and hiked half a mile or so to glass clear cuts they’d be on elk.
