This gal woke me up a couple nights ago in grizzly county. I was a little apprehensive when I unzipped the tent.

This gal woke me up a couple nights ago in grizzly county. I was a little apprehensive when I unzipped the tent.

Heard on the news today that a grizzly killed a hiker in Yellowstone this week. I'd be a little tense too in humpy country.

I was about 40 miles northeast and four days later. It wasn't the first time goats have been within feet of my tent at night, so I was expecting a white critter when I opened the tent.

She wasn't alone.

Here's an oldy taken here on the family ranch. It's dated 1966 but I believe that's when it was developed, I think it was actually taken in 1965. There had been a huge fire a few years before and we were over run with deer. Seems like this photo was taken before noon, not bad for a morning hunt!
