No that's a river in the background, too far up from the ocean to be tidal influenced.

Saw 30 elk including 6 bulls in this spot, in only about an hour of sitting and looking. Look in the background at how close it is to a paved road.

I was trying to get a pic 30 minutes before the good stuff to show the contrast. Puppy decided to photobomb me. Didn’t see it until yesterday

Been a while since I posted a pic. Here is one from a couple weeks ago in AK.



I've never seen an older or larger bear in the wild. His right ear was missing, and his left wasn't in great shape. Frozen off? Maybe. He owned the salmon stream for a good hour. A truly awesome creature.

My guess is the result of battling, that old boar has definitely been in a few skirmishes.
