Photography- one photo a day

Last year I tried to get this buck, but couldn't get close. I ended up shooting another. I put my nephew on him the following weekend, he couldn't get close either. Funny part was, the buck wasn't skittish at all, one of his does would bolt if any human got closer than a half mile. The herd would stay put and he would chase her for miles trying to put his herd back together. We chased him for days before he found another buck he liked.

Wouldn't get much meat off of one of these, even if you could hunt them. But for lovers of nature, and cool animals, these guys are hard to beat. P1000732.jpg

This guy lives somewhere safe, but I hope I find his cousin in 5 days.

Nice! What do ya think, mid 50's?

High 50's. If anybody with more moose experience has a better guess I'd like to hear it. I measured a little wide on the eyes and a little to the inside on the antlers and applied the "eyes are 10 inches" rule of thumb.
