Thanks. It's really a fun and interesting side of photography. Plus, you guys up north get plenty of darkness in the winter so you are primed for Astrophotography. Not so much in the summer though.
For instance, take the mountain shots above. Really cool photos but then imagine them at night with a 30s exposure which streaks the clouds and lets the starts shine through. Time it correctly with the slightest moon and you have enough light to see everything.
Got lucky with this one, woke to a red glow coming through the curtains so grabbed my point and shoot and took about five pics, camera was set to auto, they all came out differently depending on how I held the camera but this is my favourite, wish the camera had been set on raw.
