Any recommendations for a mid layer similar to the Kuiu Peleton 240 (something that can block wind as well) but a longer torso cut? Stone Glacer Helio looks good but unsure if it blocks wind as well

I'd look at something like a lightweight softshell like an OR Ferossi. light, breathable, sheds precip better than any fleece layer. not too expensive. i think it's a great mid to outer layer depending on the temp. I wear one a lot winter hiking in the mountains in the northeast.

Not sure if you already own the Peloton, but I've found that you have to size up with Kuiu and that might solve the length issue. Sorry, I don't know anything about the Helio.

I couldn’t find anything that came close to the 240 so I sized up to a xxl and it’s my favorite top piece now. I use it as a outer layer anyways so the sizing isn’t too bad. It definitely looser than I’d like around the body but it’s the only way to have long enough sleeves and torso. If it wasn’t for the short lengths of sleeves and torsos on kuiu tops I’d wear them for everything. But with the sizing the 240 is the only kuiu top I can’t live without. Every other top I own is first lite or stone glacier. All my pants are kuiu.

I'm with you guys... I wish KUIU would offer the 240 in a more athletic cut. As a full zip, its a fantastic jacket. One of the last items I'd sell if I had to pair down my hunting clothing.

Would be interested in trying the SG Helios.

The Peloton 240 is nice fleece, but its windstopping capabilities are overstated. I'm not saying it doesn't stop any, but it doesn't stop much. Your options really open up when you accept that a fleece midlayer is, and in most cases should be, breathable. IMO, YMMV, etc.

Just a handy piece to avoid a soft shell in some weather conditions. Blocks wind just well enough to avoid putting another layer on. Long sleeve base - 240 - puffer - rain shell = simple system. Would be nice to find something comparable but a little longer in torso. Guess it's not out there yet, will stick with the 240 now and maybe size up if I really find the need
