Another good question and one that speaks greatly to who you are as a person. What kind of peanut butter? Jif, Peter Pan, Home Plate, Justin’s? Smooth, Crunchy, Extra Crunchy?

Very important questions that need to be answered

Let me just toss this idea out there - gets my wife grumpy, but she is not the boss of me...(maybe?)

Double decker nutrition system I've been known to run. 3 pieces of bread. Crazy I know, but there is just so much more room for fillings and activities to optimize your gains.

Bottom layer: PB (48%) + Raspberry jam (41%) + butter (11%)

Top layer: Bacon (50%) + sliced apples (50%) + honey (10%)

All ingredients preferably locally sourced and organic. The top layer is 110%, because hey... that's what I need from my sandwich.

You can get the bottom layer to 110% by mixing a little bourbon with the jam, but you had better be ready to push all your other systems to their absolute limits...

I eat the crust off first. Because its awesome.

Best ones are the buttface sandwiches when you get down to the front and back ends and 1 interior pc left. Its like the big mac of PB&J.

OMG, what a bunch of amateurs !

Brown bread, extra crunchy pb on both sides, blackberry jam in the middle at 80/20 ratio. Cold milk or hot coffee to wash it down. Careful not to get any on the binos.

100% PB

The only way I would have a 50/50 PBnJ is if it was grilled like a grilled cheese, and grilled PBnJ is quite good BTW.

I'm easy, somewhere between 70/30 and 80/20 Adams crunchy Peanut butter to Creamed Honey. Then chased with a spoon full of strawberry jam or Nutella.

Slim, that is some serious culinary engineering right there. Impressive.

Over my years of hunting this is one aspect of the hunt I kept thinking about. I think I have really zeroed in on the perfect ratios for the different situations I find my self in. If I’m camping at the truck I can get away with the 50 percent chunky peanut butter to 50 percent jelly ratio. When I am doing the back country hunts(most of the time), I really need to crank the peanut butter ratio up to 75 percent for top performance. The percentage of peanut butter must goe up the farther I am sleeping from the road , to ensure I fill my tag.
