I have taken a liking to paracord slings the last few years. My only complaint is that the 550 cord is very slippery on my shoulder while wearing a wool coat. That's pretty much all I wear here in PA from bear through deer season. Its really bad on a tightly woven wool like my Filson or Woolrich. The last couple ive got, ive sprayed the contact area with fake Flex Seal. Its helped some. Just got another sling, does one have any better ideas that I could try?
Thanks

Could you get a length of shrink tubing and use that as a contact patch?
Someone on another forum suggested rubber bands. It might try that if the real Flex Seal i got doesn't work. The other stuff I had was some off brand stuff from the camper store.

Try an old bike tire tube.
Cut it to length for the contact point.
Or, you could try cutting it in strips, and weaving it in the cord on the side that goes on your shoulder. Ive never tried it, but it might help, and not ruin the looks of the sling on the outside.
I’ve made a few and use one on my 308, and I really like mine as well.
But I have not tried the bike tube however, that was just a thought.
