Looking for a recommendation on some pants with some stretch to them. Currently rocking some underarmour hunt pants and they are so stiff and restricting it’s hard to move comfortably. We have to climb a ton of gates and fences for the areas we coyote hunting. Would prefer kryptek brand as I already have some shirts, but not a deal breaker to go with something else. Budget would ideally be under $200

This could be a really, really long list....

Here's some I've used: Prana Zion, Eddie Bauer Guide, Kuhl Destroyr, Sitka Timberline, Sitka Apex, Kuiu Attack, First Lite Corrugate Guide.

Prana Zion is probably my favorite all-around pant, light weight for summer use, I wear them to work year round (Black or Khaki colored). If I want something a little heavier as an all-around pant, probably the Kuiu Attack, although fit is snug on some people. Love the Timberline as well as long as it's not hot weather, but with the reinforced knees and seat, not as much of an every-day pant, but a bomber hunting pant with removable knee pads and included suspenders too.

Kuiu has some other pants I haven't tried yet. Kryptek's altitude series is worth a look - Schoeller Fabric is the bomb.

I’ll add outdoor research ferrosi to the list above. They are lightweight and may be a tight fit for some. But they have replaced the Prana zions for me as an early season pant.

Definitely stretchy!

Edit: I see that these are on sale for $59 at Backcountry, a very good deal.

I have the kryptek alaios pants and they're great. Snagging on fences with stretchy clothes would be a problem though. I'd rather have more durable tight clothing, like nylon.

I’m not too worried about that. I’m having trouble even getting the movement to get over some of the fences which is a problem as well. Being a little “husky” doesn’t help either

I wear the Kryptek Valhalla’s for archery seasons in Idaho. They stretch enough to not restrict any mobility and I’ve been through some rugged country with them. If I get any holes from snagging them on deadfall, I just burn the loose edges down with a lighter and they won’t unravel any further. They’re pretty lightweight, but so far I’ve been impressed for a $50 pant.

That sounds like a good option as well. How is their sizing?

Been using Prana Zion for a few years and like them. Just got 4 pairs of Wrangler Outdoor Stretch. The jury is still out on durability but they are very comfortable and quick drying...almost importantly is that I got 2 pairs for about the same as a pair of Prana at full retail.

Eight pairs of Wrangler Outdoor Cargo pants (plus a couple pairs of fleece lined). I wear them for every thing. I like them more than my Kuiu, Sitka and Eddie Bauer pants. I split my time between a machine shop, running heavy equipment and outdoor pursuits so they see a reasonable amount of abuse.

Prana Zion and E. Bauer Guide are on sale quite often.
I like both.

I normally wear a 36x34 but got the 36x32 for hunting. Probably should have gotten the 36x35 for more room in the upper legs, but since they stretch plenty, they’re incredibly comfortable

Looks like the 2 pair of Kryptek I would mention have been mentioned already. The Vahalla is a basic pant, early season, hot weather, with good stretch. If you're looking for something a little more technical the Alaios pant is it. The reinforced knees are nice, they have a more "athletic" fit than the Vahalla, more pockets, and the stretch fabric is really good. For reference I am 5' 11" weigh 180. All my pants are size 32 and both the Vahalla and Alaios are 32x32 and fit true to size. Hope that helps.

Eddie Bauer is having a labor day sale. I believe 40%-50% off.

I got some wrangler recently and like the fit. Durability is still up in the air. Cheaper than other options though.

Valhalla, or the Alaios. If it was me I’d go Alaios. The old ones are still my favorite pant I’ve ever had. They are a little different now but I bet they are a great pant.

Thanks Ryan, I think I’m going with the Alaios. Now for highlander or mandrake lol
