The nice thing about needing short pants is that you can always turn long pants into short pants. Vice versa is much more difficult.

The fjallraven pants usually have an elastic button system at the bottom to cynch them from junk getting in the boots. Atleast this would keep them from dragging. I am not as short, 5'9" with a 31 inseam. I always found it odd that companies default was a 34" inseam. I would have thought 32" would be more appropriate. Good luck in the pants search.

From my experience with most companies, their default is 32", and 34's are their Talls. Sometimes their tall's are 36"......but in the process they then shortened the rise and the overall length is still too short.

You're right. I must've been thinking of the prana Bridger jeans. I really like those and have some about worn out in 28", but they seem gone entirely now.

I don’t know what my inseam measures but I’m 5’6 and the kuiu shorts fit me great.

I have a couple pairs of Fjallraven pants. Ventilated Vidda Pro in a short inseam and Keb Agiles that were a regular inseam but I had Fjallraven hem them for me and remove the cuff thing at the bottom. The vidda pants I have just folded up the bottom elastic part and the length is perfect. I ended up cutting the buttons and the elastic strip out to limit the bulk. As for the articulated knees, the regular length and the shorts feel about the same. I have a pair of Kuiu attacks that I hemmed myself. Doesn’t look great but they don’t drag under my heels anymore.

Hey fellow short guys. I'm looking to buy a pair of lightweight, side vented, dwr coated pants for archery elk here in colorado. I'm willing to buy from one of the "fancy" hunting brands, as I've had plenty of cheaper pants that were ok until they weren't. I'd like a pair with a good lifetime warranty (pnuma, skre, kuiu, etc) and i understand that all those warranties are based on me having realistic expectations. Anyway, what brands have you found that have pants that are 31-32" waist and 28-29" inseam? I'm striking out on the inseam part. Alternatively, if there is a brand that would still honor the warranty on the rest of the pants even if I hem them, that works too. Bonus if they are solid color. Thanks!
