Pant question for the brain trust

So I’ve pretty much owned every pair of pants that we discuss at nausem. So here is my dilemma. I hunt mountainous western North Carolina. 95% of the areas I hunt have green briar and laurels. Mostly mixed together so you just have to go through. I also hike 1-3 miles. This really doesn’t apply to late season but I do wear the pants all year. I’d rather be able to have just one pant but I may be out of luck. So anyway. So here is the kicker. I could care less about camo. I do really still like my wrangler ATG but they are getting g shredded in the green briar. I prefer solid colors anyway. So what I’m after is a pant I can wear from early archery September. Usually around 70 degrees to under bibs in December when it’s below twenty. I still hike in and put my clothes on at the stand. So what pants would handle warm to cold, long sweaty hikes and allot of briars. They need to be quiet enough to bow hunt in but solid enough to not shred hiking in and my legs not look like I’ve fought a wild cat.

Watching for the unicorn pants—I also hunt in W NC and NE TN. Quiet/tough together in one pant would be great but I sure haven’t found them. Attacks are pretty quiet but a little too warm for early season in the steep terrain that we hunt, but they are good below 65. I have a bunch of the old Prana Zion that I usually wear for early season. Neither are super durable but the best compromise I’ve found so far.

Maybe check out the Kuiu Pro Brush. I had a couple pairs and while I didn't think they fit in my kit well enough to justify keeping, they did seem quite burly and pretty similar to a reinforced Attack pant.

My next thought would be maybe something like the Keb from Fjallraven but I'm not a fan of having cotton in my hunting clothing.

Fjallraven Vidda Pro ventilated or Keb. Make sure you get the right fit and they won’t make the “swishy” sound when you walk. Waxing them can also help quiet them down.

I’ve looked at those kuiu pants several times. I’ve just never been able to lay hands on them. I’ve refuse to have cotton to hunt. Allot of the fam swear by carhartt pants I just can’t

I would say Duluth Briar pants, but if you're averse to cotton then it rules them out. Maybe you can find something similar purpose built in non cotton?

Main pant material is cotton duck fabric with spandex, a heavy nylon shell for the briar guards, and they are treated with a DWR coating to keep one from getting soaked through in the rain.

Those work for me hunting deer in heavy briars, in WV.

This is the way. I love my kebs.

I don’t think that is true. You can do it, but you get heavy. The tin cloth chaps I got from Filson are quiet and brush resistant, but heavy.
I don't recall tin cloth being quiet. I killed a pair of single tins, and somehow lost the replacement double tins on a move

I’m not a fan of cotton but had considered the carhartt flex double front pants.

I started wearing whatever cheap solids Costco has on hand. Usually 20 bucks and they can get tossed and I won't feel bad when they get torn up or holes burned in them. I really like the fleece lined Orvis they occasionally have as well. Vidda pros are the toughest stuff I've got, but they aren't the most comfortable so I'd likely get Kebs next time.

Otherwise, look at an upland pant like Pyke or Filson chaps.

I dont worry about insulation in pants, can just layer.

Upland pants may be more briar resistant than most targeting big game hunting. I use Pyke Northcut which were replaced by dakota. Not super quite though.

Orvis tough shell chaps might be a consideration as well.
