Ok I bit the bullet this year and bought my first high-end pack (SG). With that being said, what do you guys do to ensure your pack last a long time, since I don't want to buy another one again haha. I know keep it clean is one way, but what other ways. Like can you keep the compression straps tight all the time? Do you put thread glue on stiched areas? Let me know the secrets! I'm a newb so don't poke to much fun at me.

The most important thing for all my gear is to get it dry. I have a wood drying rack, and it all gets tossed around on it for a few days after i get back. I think the damp rot is the only real killer for fabrics, not to mention the stink you can never get out.
