Pack advice

I used a lot of different packs until I bought a Kifaru G2 long hunter guide pack when they came out. I use it for hunting and other longer trips and use a Kifaru KU3700 for shorter trips. If I ever have to buy another pack it will be from Kifaru. No experience with the bikini frame but the folks that run that system seem to like it. Two friends and I packed my bull out 13 miles roundtrip this year. 2 of us had Kifaru packs on a duplex frame. The guy that didn't was suffering more pain than he should have been. They are worth the money.

After a ton of research on here I finally settled on a SG Sky 7400. I have been thrilled with my choice. Ive been hiking all summer with 100lbs. The pack holds weight really well. I currently have it packed up for my first elk hunt. It's loaded for 9 days! Hopefully I get to test it out with some elk meat. Kurt at SG is really nice and probably the best customer service anywhere. I would highly recommend the SG. Also in daypack mode it folds down really nice. I plan on using it here in PA for day hunts year round.

Big thumbs up for the kifaru packs. Make sure you have a large wallet - they are addictive. I couldn't stop with one or two. They are the best pack system I have ever used. If you spend some time on the this forum and the kifaru forums you can get an immense amount of info from previous threads. Don't be afraid to buy used either. I have purchased several used packs and so far they have all been as stated. Most of the time someone buys a pack, uses it a few times and then sells it for lack of use or wanting the next new model.
