PAC nor lead times... spot on or are you getting your barrels sooner?

So I just ordered my 338 barrel from PAC-Nor.
They said lead time is 16-20 weeks. I’m incredibly impatient. But good things come to those who wait...

I was wondering if anyone has any recent experience with their lead times. Are they shipping faster than they say?

I had Pac-Nor rebarrel a 700 action in early 2019. Took 15 months weeks total. That was before the building fire. My expectation is that they'll be on time or sooner. They do a nice job with communication, fwiw.

[Edit to show weeks, not months.]

It’s worth a lot. So 16-20 weeks isn’t bad then. Atleast that’s what I’ve gathered from snipers hide and what guys have been saying about lead times

Did you order a barrel only? Or, did you send an action to have a barrel put on it?

If a barreled action, waiting 4 months isn't like a total build where the gunsmith is at the mercy of receiving parts from different suppliers. Additionally, Pac-Nor makes their own barrels and do all the truing and fitting, so you're sitting well in terms of getting things on time.

I ordered a contoured blank. Shawn carlock is building my .338 edge.
I have everything minus barrel and chassis. Didn’t want to send it to my smith until I had all the parts together. That way stuff not just sitting around taking up space at his shop
