Mine arrived today. Very cool tripod. Seems super stable, especially for the weight. Pleasantly surprised by the monopod feature.

Just came in today. Compact and super stout, seems to be made very well. Twist lock on the legs works so smooth, head is also very nice with lots of adjustment. Fits perfect in the side pocket of my Exo 5500 with plenty of room for something else. Weight is slightly more than advertised as another poster also mentioned. Mine comes in at 43.5 oz
Thanks again...

Hey @Camera Land,

Does Pro Master offer a CF tripod without a head that goes to 6ft? I can't find one on their website, and this one only goes to 60".

AHHHH... The new tripod the XC-M 525C goes to 67 1/8 without the head AND the new system has the ability to unscrew all 3 legs and add a CF extension piece on each leg that adds 7 7/8". It's an awesome system

The tripod does come with their best ball head yet.
The tripod goes for $259.95 and the extensions are 39.95 making it $299.90. The Rokslide price would be $259.99. It gets better
There are all terrain feet available as well, leg warmers, shoulder straps, etc. They should be on our website by the end of the week
It is the Promaster XC-M system. They come with a 3 year no fault warranty
Feel free to call or e-mail me with any questions

Got mine today. Might have to let this one or my xc525c go and get the new model. I was hoping this one would be taller to run standing with my binos. I'm 6'2" and have to crouch a little. When glassing for a long period it kinda sucks. Turns out this guide series is identical in height as the normal 525c. It does collapse smaller though.
Thanks for the deal though. Always appreciated.

62” seems really short?

The center post extends as well. I'm 5'9" and it was way too tall for me all the way exended.

I had it extended. It's almost exactly the same height as my normal 525c. Maybe 1/4 inch difference. They are close I just need another 3in or so. Sounds like the new model will get me there! Dont get me wrong this guide model and the 525c are both awesome just not standing for me.
