OT2 Tuning Thread

I just created a thread on the archery page asking somebody to help me with my dynamic spine. Here it is-

So here is my setup

330 Easton Hexx cut to 28” 7.9 gpi
100 grain tip
75 grain insert
25 grain impact collar up front
3- 2” blazers 6 grains each
H nock 9 grains
Arrow weight- 448

Bow
Mathews z2
IBO 330
29” draw
set at 70#
Around 275 fps with these arrows

I can get a bullet hole through paper no problem and they appear to group well have not shot broadheads with the impact collars yet however. but it seems dynamic spine should be marginally on the weak side. I could cut arrows to 27.5 I suppose. Thanks for your time

that spines out dead even with a stock 23 gr insert. add the 75gr insert and it is way weak.

Its weak at 27.5 too but if you dropped down to 35 grs for an insert plus the 100 gr head you'd be dead center.

go to a 300 spine at 29" with all 200grs up front and its perfect dead center.

Thank you I knew they were on the weak side even without the collars because of the 75 grain inserts. No changing that at this point however. Thank you for running that for me

Wait so if I went with a 50grian brass insert and 25 grain impact collar to keep my 175grains up front and cut them to 27.5” the dynamic spine on these arrows would only be 26.5” due to the impact collars. With a short dynamic spine like that I should be in an acceptable range correct? Maybe marginally weak

yep, they'd be marginally weak but might just work. I've noticed a lot of guys get away with shooting weak arrows, at least according to the software.

I don’t think so I never got a reply, ended up just purchasing OT2, they have an app version now for iPhones FYI
