Rx1 Ultra 35"

Current arrow 29.5 Axis 340, 20 grn insert, 125 point. 3 Blazer.
Considering 30" Axis 300, 50 or 75 insert 100 point.
Cut your arrow shorter. My measured dl is 29.25" and i can run a 26.5"-27" carbon-to-carbon arrow.

300 BE rampage at 27"/29.25" DL with 200 total grains up front works fine for me out of the same bow, and measures fine in OT2, maybe shows a little below center.

Sorry for the delay guys. Been slammed at both jobs and the one weekend I had off I went hunting.

I was attacked by an Armadillo, true story.

I'll get to everyone's request tonight. Once again, sorry for the delay.

With a 29.25" measured DL - I'm over the shelf with my point and a 27" carbon-to-carbon. A 29" arrow will be out front because of how DL is measured.

If I shortened my arrow to 29 my broadhead would be in my rest.
At 27 it wouldn't even make it to the riser.
Idk what my measured dl is but my bow is set at 29.5

On your bow, it would be 27.5 because you're .5" longer draw than I am, but it sounds like it's running significantly long.

This is from experience, RX1 Ultra, set in a draw board and everything measured. Deepest part of the grip to the string is draw length MINUS 1.75" inches. So for a 29.5" draw that is 27.75" measured from the string to the deepest part of the grip. Nock lengthens arrow by .25" - so a 27.5" carbon arrow will go to the center of the berger hole over the shelf without any insert or point/broadhead. Running a rest back against the Tec riser where many recommend gives you plenty of clearance.

PM privately if you want more help on this one, don't want to muddy up the OT2 thread anymore.

50 gr insert puts this set up dead smack in the middle set on Hunting. Target and Hunting is to the stiff side of the green. 95gr insert makes it to weak.

way to stiff but a 340 Axis is perfect, just a tad to the weak side of center in Hunting mode. Target and Hunting mode puts it just to the stiff side of center in the green.

Huh, thanks. I figured the 300 might be a little stiff but not way stiff. Maybe I'll try one 300 and one 340 set up the same and see what I get for flight, etc.

The only inserts I see available for that arrow are 35 gr and 95 gr. Is there anyway to make either of those work without getting rid of my 100 gr broadheads?

once again, I apologize for the delay. I've been absolutely slammed at work and been pulling 70 hour weeks for a while now and i never have my computer with OT2 on it.

TONIGHT I will be running everyone's specs.

Ok help me out here, I feel like I'm stuck between 250 and 300.

Bowtech Realm SS
IBO 337 (comfort mods put it at roughly 326)
72# Draw
30.5" DL
32" ATA
6" BH

Currently shooting RIP TKO 300 (8.8 GPI)
29" C2C (can't get any shorter, maybe 1/4")
100 grain point
60 grain insert
5grain wrap
30 grain vanes (4x max hunter)
7 grain nock
Total: ~448 @ 297 FPS

supposedly that's slightly on the weak side.

Im trying to go to a VAP TKO 300 Spine (9.5 GPI)
29" C2C
100 grain point
50 grain Shok-TL
5grain wrap
30 grain vanes (4x max hunter)
7 grain nock

(green stuff subject to change as needed)

Would I be better off staying slightly weak with the RIP TKO or can you make the VAP TKO's work out?

Thank you!
