Oregon New Deer Unit and Draws?

Interested in what people thought who applied for an eastern OR deer tag with the new management units?

I didn't draw for the one of the JT units I put in for but wasn't surprised since I had 0 points. I'm thrown off by the deer tags given out per unit for the 3 JTs.

Did anyone draw their first choice that wasn't expecting to or maybe didn't draw their unit with more points that it typically takes?

I'm looking forward to when the application numbers come out so I can start planning for future years.

I drew a 2nd choice unit I usually put in for - its the same unit I've drawn the past 3-4 years except now its a bit bigger and has a little more public access. I am a little surprised I drew but it is the first year so who knows.

I was considering burning points this year or next.
Decided I wasn’t ready this year so snagged a point. I’ll do more research etc. this year & early next year & assess my options.

I didn't draw a buck tag, but I've spoken to many people that drew with few or even 0 points in different units.

Neither myself or my buddy, drew our 2nd choice in southern OR; but my non-res hunting buddy drew the unit with no points, as his 1st choice. *shrugs*

I drew a buck tag with 0 points. I assume it will change next year as more people learn the system. A couple months back I watched an old timer trying to buy tags at Fisherman’s Marine storm out when he couldn’t figure out the new units.
