Anyone have any tips on finding spring bear on the NW Oregon coast? Every podcast I can find focuses on areas with snow pack and following spring green up. Everything is green on the west side. What are you targeting for vegetation? Weather? Are you glassing big cuts or walking along thick bottoms? Also have heard conflicting messages from people who have been successful on spring bear on being out at zero dark 30 vs having breakfast in camp and strolling out. First time getting out for spring bear been out 4 times so far this season and haven’t stirred one up.

Right now, grassy meadows, creek bottoms old grassy roads. You will catch them in some clear cuts, I prefer to hunt cuts are are a few years old and not too open. In the next few weeks the guys will start roaming more
