OR firebrand mitten size?

I’m a large glove in most leather or mechanics gloves.A small large.
Looking at some firebrand mitts and curious if they fit true or better to downsize to medium.

mostly im using using XXL or size 11 for hestra and in OR im using xl for the army mittens firebrand and the liner but im not sure if you should go lower before testing. and if i m using over mitten they will be xxl or size 11 if that helps.

I tried them in at REI not long ago. I'm usually a L, but can sometimes fit into a M with work gloves. I found the OR L to be the best fit without a liner glove or an XL with a liner. I went with OR, but a different sytle. Hope that helps.
