I would like to mount a pic rail on the standard sling stud. I do not think I can drill a second hole in this stock. Though I like the spartan system, I have a bipod already (Atlas) so I do not think I need to spend that much. I want to be able to have a sling and a section of pic rail.

In my search I found two options:
1. Accu Long Range Sling stud picatinny rail & accu wedge kit.
2. Caldwell Pic rail adapter plate.

Are there other, or better options out there?

For anyone reading in the future...
I went with a different one all together.
Acu-Tac Sling Stud Rail Adapter.

We will see how it goes.

I’ve only used the Caldwell. I set it up on one of my dad’s rifles, it doesn’t rotate due to the design. The one you went with while cleaner and lower profile looks like it could pretty easily rotate.

Any other opinions? I have this on a tikka t3x

And it works just fine. It's ugly and the profile is higher than I like, but no complaints to date off bench or in field.

That said, I just picked up a Sako Grey Wolf in 375 H&H - I don't plan to use it with a bipod often, but I'd like that flexibility, especially for an inland Alaska hunt I'm looking at. Looking to see if there are lower profile options/adapters that folks have had good experience on with a Sako.

Vaultman, how did your Acu-Tac work out so far?

PS using an evolution bipod: for what its worth, really love this bipod, light and sturdy, gets the job done in the field.

I just ended up installing pic rails I got from atlas. It was pretty easy. Attached the front of the rail to the hole where the sling stud was then drilled another hole. Hogged out some of the plastic with a dremel tool and bolted put in the second screw. Pretty easy, I also have an atlas bipod that I really like and wanted a secure way to attach it.
