Optics choice for northern BC hunt

Booked a moose hunt and mountain goat trip in the very northern edge of BC. If someone has hunted up that way, what size of binoculars would you recommend? 8x42, 10x42?

Let’s assume for discussion sake, the guide will have a spotting scope.

I’d bring 14x50mm image stabilized binos. If you’re a good game spotter, you might beat the guides.

Oh no, that’s way too big and bulky for what I’m wanting. This is something I’ll carry in a chest mount.

10x42s for sure in that type of hunt with more open country.
